NEW YEAR. NEW PROJECT

SHERLOCK HOLMES

Went and saw it last nite with a my sis and a couple of friends. It was pretty good. The ending made the movie worth it when all was revealed. Just don't be surprised if you see any Victorian characters or stories on my blog.

Just got myself a new WACOM BAMBOO tablet and boy am I in love. I played around with it and I was converted. FORGET PENCIL AND PAPER. Nah I'm joking. I will never give that up. But check out these sketches I quickly done. One is a character named Marcus for my friend Bremner's comic who I really like to draw.

I Just Wanna Be Successful

And successful I was. Today I represented my new club I founded, I.N.K (Illustration and Komics), at my school club fair. The mininum requirement of signatures was 15. I thought I was gonna barely meet the quota. But I was soooo wrong. I had almost over 30 signatures and probably even more. Below is some poster's my friend and I did for the event. The left one is his and you can check out more of his stuff at his website at www.whatdagraphix.com. The right poster is the one I did. Enjoy.

Kanye You Dissappoint

If you haven't heard by now you must be living under a rock. Kanye have once again let his ego get the best of him. Last night Kanye stole the spotlight from Taylor Swift as she was giving her award speech for best female video. He took the mike and claims that beyonce should've won the award for the night. I'm a big Kanye fan but that was totally un-call for. Poor Taylor Swift looked like she was about to cry. It was like seeing a grown man steal candy from a baby and eating it in her face. And for that Kanye you disappoint. Check out this video of what took place:

YAYYYY VMA 2009

Ok I'm back. I've been reall busyy with life. School, personal projects ( which I'll hopefully get to post soon), and my new girlfriend (who is so amazing.) But I had to come back to give you all something. It's that time of year that I look forward too, yes the MTV Music Video Awards. Even though when I'm done watching it every year I'm very upset due to the fact of who win awards, especially music video of the year, but I still look forward to it. I guess I just get excited to see the concept and execution behind the show. This year I think the creativity is amazing. The VMA is returning to it's birthplace which right here in my backyard, New York City. They've been doing this whole west side story theme to promote it and I think its so amazing. Check out the pics and video I posted. Enjoy and don't forget to catch the VMA's Sunday, September 13.

Mini Comic

It's only fair I share something I worked on. That's what Damianism is all about right? Here is spread from a mini comic I made for this girl I'm talking too.

Give Me Back My $5

I know I'm probably late with this post due to the fact that new comics come out today, but I feel I still need to voice my opinion about this comic, Hulk #600. Where should I begin? How about "THIS COMIC IS FU#*ING TERRIBLE." I had stop buying this series for a while now. I'm not going to front I read the first run on this book and thought it was terrific. It brought the inner child out of me. But eventually it started to make me feel stupid. Not only that Jeph is taking to long to reveal who the damn Red Hulk is. In this special 600 issue you would think he would've had done it but know he tells this meaningless story and tell readers to not be concerned with the Red Hulk but to concentrete on the story as a whole cause some ridiculous war is coming. Are you serious? I paid five dollars for you to tell me not to worry about the damn RED HULK. Than why the hell did you create the bastard. After reading this issue of Hulk I came to two conclusions. 1. Jeph Loeb has lost his touch and 2. The need to leave the Hulk thing to Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente. Give me back my $5

Well at least I can say the art was good. You want to pay $5 dollars for a comic pick up Amazing Spiderman #600

WHO DA MAN?!

Who da man?! is my new ongoing post. After reading so much good comics lately and seeing so many good artist, designers, and writers I've decided to create this segment. It'll mostly feature people in the comic book industry who are doing some crazy a$$ S#!T. Later on this ongoing post might evolve but for now it is what it is. So who is out first Who Da Man?!

None other than, Robert Kirkman.

Why is Robert Kirkman the man? Because he is one good ass writer. There is so much to say about this dude. Kirkman is a comic book writer who made it in marvel and then went to go and start his own creator owned series. Some has fail while others made an impact on fanboys, like the Walking Dead and Invincible. I read both books but I haven't caught up on the Walking Dead and kind of fell off Invincible. But I recently came back around Issue #50 and haven't fell off since. Each issue get's better and better. Within the last four issues (#60-64) Kirkman has really pushed himself and accomplished things that take the Big Two (DC and MARVEL) take years to accomplish. And that is why Robert Kirkman is Da Man.

APOLOGIZES, BUT I STILL RISE.

I truly have to apologize to all of you who have been following my blog post. I have let you down with my procrastination which I promised myself I would not do. I also apologize for not announcing my secret project on July 1. Damn! Now it's like July 23. Well don't worry about it anymore, it has been currently postponed. I have too much on my plate right now.

You must be wondering what the hell I'm so caught up doing. Well recently time has thrown some events in my way. I've been writing a comic with a friend, been trying to make music, drawing and writing short comics, and I now have a lady in my life. I'm still getting used to juggling it all. But don't worry I will be making it all up to you guys by posting some real cool awesome post. Cause from these depths I have fallen into I still rise.

Secret Project Write-a-thon

So within the next three days I'll be writing an intense script. It will only consist of six pages. This is kind of a big challenge for me cause I never really wrote something as short as this before and kept people interest. I'll just have to do my best. I would let you guys see a peek preview but my partner in crime and I decided to keep under wraps. I will say this though when it's all done you will not be disappointed. Now I'm off to write till my fingers fall off.

Neo Damianism

Welcome to my new blog. Yes I said new blog, meaning I had a previous one. The previous one was all about my way of life. From the music I listened too, to the fashion I was intrerested in. I wanted others to have the same passion for the things I had too. But that was 2007 when I was a young man. It's been 2 years now since I made a post on Damianism and decided to restart, reinvent, refocus my interest. There came the idea of Neo-Damianism(credit to my boy D). Neo-Damianism is simply. It's still a way of life, my way of life but it focuses more on my artwork and my interest in art. Other things like music, fashion, girls, me chillin with a couple of friends may appear from time to time, but its more about the art and artists I associate my self with. So join, follow, comment on my blog. Become a Neo-Damianist. Reinvent yourself. Remember it's not a religion, it's a way of life.
